
Melissa Jenkins, Ph.D.
Melissa Jenkins, Ph.D., is a Licensed Psychologist. She is originally from Wichita, Kansas and completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Kansas in 2006. She obtained her Doctorate of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology from Wichita State University in 2011. Dr. Jenkins has broad experience in assessment, which includes DFS evaluations, DVR and waiver evaluations, disability evaluations, full diagnostic and bariatric and pain evaluations. She has worked with religious and diagnostically diverse populations in Kansas, Utah and Wyoming. Dr. Jenkins encompasses components of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy into her cognitive and behavioral intervention strategies. She utilizes a well rounded set of tools in intervention to make sure that each person’s treatment is individualized. This corresponds with Dr. Jenkins’s strong passion for holistic individual care and empathetic understanding of the whole person. While Dr. Jenkins practices as a general psychologist, she is specifically intersted is psychological assessment and evaluation, mood and anxiety disorders and woman's needs spanning across lifespan and developmental stages.
